Something very interesting is happening in Denmark. The danes are very well known for their good taste in interior design, but Denmark is also a home for many talented abstract artists.

Of course, it is hard to tell an artists origin by just looking at their work. But there are some artists that share common elements in their work and it sometimes can have something to do with local trends. Or a vision or a view situated on a certain spot in the world

Patricia O’Blacks work takes over the viewer with a strong grip. Strong layering and the depths are built mostly on wooden panel. When viewing and experiencing abstract art, it has always made a strong impression on me, when a work seems as it was built by nature in a long period of time. Not by a human hand.

I came across with Lupri’s work about 4 years ago. The world was never the same for me after that. His work is beautiful but the world in them is not polished and shiny. Sometimes you could even find it brutal as it occasionally dives deep inside to the paths unknown. But in the end it leaves you with tranquile state of mind.
